The string list you start with, not the one you have to build

Every stringing tool asks you to type your own strings in. You spell Hyper-G one way in March and another way in July, and a year later your best-selling string is three entries that will not add up.

Racketworks ships with a shared catalog: 779 strings across 18 brands, and it is maintained for you. 705 of them carry their real colour and 527 their real measured thickness — not the number on the packet, the one that matters when a customer asks for the same setup as last time. It is checked against the manufacturers weekly, and when a brand adds a string it appears for every shop at once.

You can still add anything it does not have, and your own entries stay yours. But the common case — a customer names a string you have never stocked — is already answered.

What it doesn't do yet. It is not every string ever made, and it never will be; the long tail of discontinued and regional strings is genuinely enormous. Where two colours of one string cannot yet be told apart, we show no colour rather than guess at one. And it does not know your prices — that is your book, not ours.
